Bookmarks
Bookmarks capture a particular state of the map so you — or your viewers — can return to it with one click. Manage them from the Bookmarks button in the ribbon.
A bookmark can capture:
- The camera view — position, zoom, pitch, and rotation.
- Layer visibility — which layers are shown or hidden.
- Slicer selections — the current filter state.
Bookmarks are useful for telling a story with a map (step a viewer through a series of views), for jumping to key locations, and for offering saved starting points in a published map.
Next steps
- Camera tours - fly through an ordered sequence of views, with timing and captions.
- Tooltips & cross-filtering — the filter state a bookmark can capture.
- Publishing & sharing — offer bookmarks to viewers.
